Summer Vibes and Sips
Now that June is here, I’m just loving the carefree summer vibes of this painting by Elizabeth Lennie available at Art Interiors. You can practically feel the sand between your toes if you look at it for longer than a minute!
From a fresh pair of espadrilles to a mod outdoor lounge, I’ve rounded up some other sunny finds that conjure blue sky smiles, including an amazing summer cocktail that I was obsessed with last summer:
Grapefruit Radler Recipe (adapted from Chatelaine)
1. Combine a few spoonfuls of sugar with the juice of 1 lime and 1 cup grapefruit juice in a saucepan until sugar dissolves. Cool slightly, then stir in 2 bottles of a white belgian ale, such as Blanche de Chambly.
2. Pour mixture into a shallow baking dish. Freeze until just firm, at least 4 hours.
3. To serve, use a fork to break frozen mixture into chunks and add to a blender with extra beer a little at a time until it looks like a slushy.
4. Scoop into glasses with straws. Garnish each with a thin wedge of grapefruit.
