RH Teen Top Picks

My heart usually fills with dread every time I see a hefty catalog left on my doorstep. They are such outdated massive wastes of paper and even though I usually opt out of these types of mailings as soon as they arrive, they still seem to show up at my door from time to time.

When I opened up the latest catalogue yesterday I was surprised to see a Restoration Hardware Teen book. Pottery Barn has been killing it with their teen collections but a lot of the items don’t ship to Canada, so I was excited to see what RH had to offer. It’s certainly not cheap coming across the border these days with our crappy dollar and the automatic 20% shipping and duty fee that is added on top of that, but the process to order from RH is at least more streamlined.

I looked online at the collections and was very impressed with the look and design. Here are my top picks that transcend the label of “teen” and could happily live in any of my current client projects:

This Kitson dresser, $1699 US is a knockout piece that is nice enough to take it out of the bedroom-only zone. Look at those studs on that creamy leather!

I love how the structured grid on this Window frame memory board, $295 US adds an extra graphic quality. The antique brass detailing looks so rich against the linen background.

The design on these embroidered Italian framed satin stitch bedding, $199-239 US is super glam and adding a monogram would put them over the edge.

This IIlluminated antiqued mirror heart, $299 US has a playful pop art Keith Haring-esque vibe. It would be great in a foyer to set the tone for a fun-loving client.

I love the plush and cozy look of this tufted Tribeca daybed, starting at $2099 US. This would be amazing in a nursery (provided the material chosen was vomit-friendly of course)

These Zodiac constellation art prints, $450 US add an ethereal touch to a space thanks to their painterly look. I love the touch of gold on top showing the shape of each signs’ constellation.

It is so hard to find a good looking desk with sufficient storage so I’m loving theAvalon desk, $1399 US.  The brass recessed pulls and metal base are a mod spin on classic campaign style. I also love the integrated outlets in one of the top drawers for charging phones and kindles and whatnot.

These Cast metal hexagon wall hooks, $19 US each are a nice sculptural way to integrate extra hanging space. I’d like to order a couple for my closet wall as I always seem to run out of hooks too fast.
