Real Mom Moments: Pampers Giveaway

Social media has a way of glossing over the less glamorous realities of being a new mom. Looking back at my first few months (or let’s be honest, year), my experience was nothing like the softly lit photos I saw bloggers post daily with sweet sleeping babies lying on Benny Ourain rugs.

I was recovering from a C section and exhausted out of my mind while nursing, pumping, and preparing bottles of formula for two colicky babies. No Instagram filter could disguise the emotional and physical hurricane I was in the middle of (Hello hormones! Hello sleep deprivation!)

I got through the early days with the bottomless supply of support and encouragement from my family and friends, by taking advantage of the hired help that was graciously afforded to me and most of all, by having a good sense of humour! If you can’t laugh at the realities of having to clean up back to back spit up explosions or giggle just a bit when you see two toddlers sitting throwing a tantrum together, than you’re going to make the job of being a mom a lot tougher on yourself.
With Mother’s Day this weekend and today on National Baby Day, I am happy to share a video that Pampers has created that embraces being real with a smile. It’s a video called #pamperspooface

My boys have been in Pampers Swaddlers since day one, so being a member of the #pampersbabypanel and sharing this funny clip feels like a natural fit. I’m also pretty certain that I could hold a record for buying the most amount of Pampers ever (although I guess every twin mom feels like that! haha)
